The Founder

Tom Wolf

Founder & Chairman of Metawolf AG

Tom Wolf completed his business studies with a specialization in marketing for capital goods at the Free University of Berlin in 1982. He began his career as an entrepreneur and investor, focusing on digital transformation, economic development in Eastern markets, and new business opportunities. In 1995, he became CEO of Meta Wolf AG, leading the company through growth and innovation until 2002. From 2000 to 2009, he also served as management consultant and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RIB Software AG. He was CEO of RIB Software AG from 2009 to 2017, and CEO of RIB Software SE until 2021, also serving as Chairman of its Administrative Board until 2022. Since 2021, Tom Wolf has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Meta Wolf AG, bringing decades of leadership experience and a proven track record in digitalization, innovation, and global expansion.

Promoting digital transformation

Tom’s 40-year career has also been dedicated to promoting digital transformation to create a better future for the next generation. He has been working tirelessly to transform the construction industry from desktop to cloud, from traditional to digital. Today, he is leading the transformation of the ceramic industry, integrating advanced technologies, sustainable practices, and digital innovation to build a more efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible future of living.

Giving back to society

Tom sees business as a means of serving humanity. In 1999, shortly after the Kosovo war, he began organizing a convoy of 120 trucks to deliver millions of dollars in building materials into this district to assist the homeless in rebuilding their homes. In 2020, he established the non-profit RIB Care to transport medical supplies from China to the rest of the world, thereby assisting communities in the fight against COVID-19 and saving lives. Since 2020, he has been an active Rotarian in a variety of philanthropic projects aimed at nurturing youth and assisting the underprivileged.

Our Executive Board Member

Ralf Kretzschmar began his professional career in the 1990s as a trained retail business administrator and has since held various management positions in medium-sized and group-structured companies. Ralf Kretzschmar has an extensive network within the German construction industry and was responsible for earnings, personnel and sales in his previous functions. Mr. Kretzschmar has been a member of the Management Board of Metawolf AG since September 2020.

Sandy Möser completed her studies in 1985 as a graduate historian at the Lomonossow State University in Moscow. From 1985 to 1991 she worked as a research assistant at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Since 1993, Sandy Möser has held various management positions in the areas of human resources, organization, law and finance at Metawolf AG. Since December 2015, Ms. Möser has been a member of the Management Board of Metawolf AG again.

With over 15+ year working experience in financial industry, André Schütz has rich expertise in finance and project management. Before joining Meta Wolf, he has worked for PwC as manager and served as SVP of Global Strategy & Corporate Development in RIB Software SE and was responsible for global project management as well as mergers, acquisitions and divestments. 

Graduated in James Cook University, André Schütz obtained the Master of Professional Accounting with major in Finance and Economics.  He has been a member of the Management Board of Metawolf AG since January 2023.

Our Supervisory Board Member

Tom Wolf completed his business training with a focus on marketing for capital goods in 1982 at the Free University of Berlin. This was followed by seven years as CEO of Metawolf AG (1995 to 2002) and from 2000 to 2009 also as an entrepreneur, management consultant and chairman of the supervisory board of RIB Software AG. Subsequently, Mr. Wolf was CEO of RIB Software AG from 2009 to 2017 and Managing Director (CEO) of RIB Software SE from 2017 to September 30, 2021. From 2017 to February 2022 he was also Chairman of the Administrative Board of RIB Software SE. Mr. Wolf has been a member of the Metawolf AG Supervisory Board since December 2021.

Dr. Matthew Rumpelhardt is the managing partner of Dacapo2 GmbH, Berlin, an investment company with a focus on technology-based German medium-sized companies. Together with his previous position as CEO of Ströer Media International GmbH, Matthias Rumpelhardt has extensive experience in the private equity business. Prior to that, he worked for 20 years as a senior partner in international management consulting companies in leading positions, such as for the strategy consultancy Corporate Value Associates and the Capgemini Group. From 2006 to 2016 he was a member of the administrative board of the listed MBB SE, Berlin, and from 2007 to 2022 he was a member of the administrative board of the listed RIB Software SE, Stuttgart.

Dr. Matthew Rumpelhardt

Rachel Wolf completed her double masters degree in Global Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University in 2023. After completing her studies, she gained experience in the fields of marketing and artificial intelligence, before joining the TWO Family Office in 2024. Rachel has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Metawolf AG since December 2021

Rachel Wolf

Michael Sauer completed his degree in business administration (BA) in Ravensburg. He joined Bantle Systemhaus GmbH as project manager in 1992 and was an authorized signatory for Hermann Meta Wolf GmbH Hessen from 1993 to 1995. Between 1995 and 2002 he was a member of the Management Board of Meta Wolf AG. He worked for RIB Software AG as Chief Financial Officer from 2002 to 2017 and has been Managing Director (CFO) since 2017 (until December 31, 2021) and a member of the Administrative Board of RIB Software SE until February 2022. Mr. Sauer has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Meta Wolf AG since December 2021.

Michael Sauer 

After training as a bank clerk, Berthold Oesterle completed his degree in business administration at the University of Mannheim. Mr. Oesterle then joined Ernst & Young Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft GmbH in Stuttgart. There he passed his tax consultant exam in 1993 and his auditor exam in 1996. From 2000 to 2015, Mr. Oesterle was a partner at EY. Mr. Oesterle has been a member of the Metawolf AG Supervisory Board since August 2018.

Berthold Oesterle

Jens Ruebbert is the Managing Director and Regional Head Asia/Pacific of LBBW in Singapore. He also serves as Chairman of the EU-ASEAN Business Council, President of EuroCham Singapore, and Vice President of the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In recognition of his contributions to strengthening international business and economic relations, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
